Scientists are starting to figure out how the brain is involved in mental disorders like depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and schizophrenia. Some clinics are now offering brain scans to identify which specific condition a person might have. Are these scans worth their significant cost? Probably not.
